Postgraduate studies
The Province of Bozen/Bolzano provides scholarships for post-graduate students. These courses include:
post-graduate studies or specialization courses
compulsory internships or vocational internships
postgraduate doctoral degree (PhD)
university education to obtain a teaching qualification at the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano.

Reference period: 1 October 2022 - 30 September 2023
Application period: 15 January 2022 - 30 September 2022
Intermediate deadline: 30 April 2022
Final deadline: 30 September 2022
Eligibility requirements
Citizenship and residence:
Universities in South Tyrol:
be an EU citizen,
be a non-EU citizen with an unlimited residency permit or a person granted refugee status or a person under subsidiary protection,
be a non-EU citizen with a limited residency permit who has been residing continuously in the Province of Bolzano for at least one year at the date of submission for the application.
Universities outside the province: all persons who have been residing in South Tyrol for at least two years at the date of submission for the application.
Additional requirements:
for the majority of training courses: completion of a study course lasting at least 4 years
instruction must be undertaken within six years of completion of the first university study course (bachelor's degree or master's degree/single-cycle)
the student must not have completed another postgraduate course of the same type
New: the postgraduate courses can also be held in distance-learning (because of the pandemic) and still be eligible for the grant.
