The sh.asus is not place bound to the headquarter but additionally has seven branch offices in big university cities, four in Austria and three in Italy. The sh.asus was founded in 1955 as a non-profit association. Its main task is to represent the interest of South Tyrolean students abroad and students in South Tyrol.

Position on educational policy issues, representation of the interests and needs of students, votes in the State Advisory Council for the Right to Higher Education.
Parties, film evenings, educational trips, communal meals, courses and much more are organized by volunteer students.
Until 31 July 2025, 12 noon, it is possible to apply for a partial refund of tuition fees. Scholarship winners from the Autonomous Province of Bozen/Bolzano for the academic year 2024/25 are entitled to do so. The form and all information can be found on the website of the provincial administration.

Please note: if you want to apply for a partial refund, you must not declare the tuition fees in your tax return. As the partial refund is usually 80% refunded, it is probably more advantageous. This information must be checked each year for your own situation. Also, if the fees are completely refunded you cannot declare them in the tax declaration.
