We are...

... the most important South Tyrolean students representation. The sh.asus is not place bound to the headquarter but additionally has seven branch offices in big university cities, four in Austria and three in Italy. The sh.asus was founded in 1955 as a non-profit association. Its main task is to represent the interest of South Tyrolean students abroad and students in South Tyrol.

Representation of interests

Position on educational policy issues, representation of the interests and needs of students, votes in the State Advisory Council for the Right to Higher Education.

Partial refund of tuition fees


Until 31 July 2024, 12 noon, it is possible to apply for a partial refund of tuition fees. Scholarship winners from the Autonomous Province of Bozen/Bolzano for the academic year 2023/24 are entitled to do so. The form and all information can be found on the website of the provincial administration.

Internship and career opportunities in the EU

"EPSO: Shape Your EU Career" offers students and professionals insights into European institutions, career paths, and application processes. On May 15th, the hybrid event features expert speakers, including Gaia Pellegrini from the European Parliament, and provides practical tips and internship opportunities. Moderated by Giusy Cupo, attendees gain valuable knowledge about EPSO and selection procedures. Whether participating in-person at the Bozen-Bolzano campus (room F0.03) or online via Microsoft Teams, it promises to be an invaluable opportunity for those looking to embark on a rewarding journey within European institutions.

Call for proposals by IER - thesis on the South Tyrolean economy


The IER - Institute for Economic Research of the Chamber of Commerce of Bolzano supports students who are writing a Bachelor's or Master's thesis on the South Tyrolean economy. The three best research concepts (exposés) are awarded with 1,500 euros.


Deadlines for application for the summer semester 2023/24: 15 April until 16 June 2024


However, the final thesis must not have been completed at the time of registration.
